iPhone / Apple Kalender G Android / Google Kalender2026 is going to be a very special year for us: together, we are turning 140 years old! Naturally, we want to celebrate this milestone in style. We’ve decided to host a party in our “second home.” You can look forward to some Spanish/Catalan flair and great live music.
For logistical reasons, we have chosen Saturday, October 24th. On March 13th (my birthday), it can still be quite chilly. And in August, when Hannelore celebrates her birthday on the 17th, accommodation on the Costa Brava is extremely expensive.
We are expecting many guests and truly hope that you do not bring any gifts—especially nothing meant to be displayed in the house or hung on a wall. We are organizing a high-quality menu at an affordable price and, as mentioned, providing excellent live music. More details on this will follow soon.
We will be celebrating in L’Estartit, right by the sea, featuring a 7 km long sandy beach and beautiful medieval towns nearby.
There are several hotels directly in town. Since October 24th marks the end of the season, these should be booked early. We are happy to help you with reservations or suggest possible excursions in the area!
It is still quite some time until our party, but here is the preliminary plan for this special day!
For those traveling from abroad, we are organizing a joint lunch to kick off the celebrations.
From 8:00 PM, we will meet at the famous Sala Mariscal.
The venue is private for our party until midnight—after that, we can continue the celebration for as long as we want!
We’ve booked a great band! The Houndogs will perform a fantastic show with music you all know and love. The band is expected to start around 9:00 PM.
We will ensure that sufficient wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks are available throughout the evening.
